Penn Aerospace Club: Systems Engineer

I was the control surface designer for University of Pennsylvania's Aerospace Club. The aim of competition was to build a plane with foldable wings. I designed the tail folding mechanism, full motion rudder and elevators. I also programmed spektrum transmitter and receiver for the plane. The maximum takeoff weight of the plane was 2.5 kg, and minimum take off speed was 30 km/h. It has excellent maneuverability at low speeds thanks to the large control surfaces and strong servos.
